Overview
AstraKind is designed to be local-first. Conversations and characters live on your device, not on an AstraKind server.
Local session data
Chats, custom characters, generated images, and relationship profile data are stored locally on your device. You can delete chat history and reset the relationship profile in Settings at any time.
Model downloads
Optional model downloads contact their named model host for model files only. Chat content is not sent with those downloads. Before any download, the app shows the source repository, revision, download size, memory target, licence, and local-data boundary.
Remote providers
If you later enable a remote provider, the app shows a separate disclosure before sending selected chat context. Nothing is sent to a remote provider without that step.
Data collection
AstraKind does not create an account for you, does not sell personal information, and does not include advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.
Age and safety
AstraKind is intended for people aged 17 or older. AI output can be inaccurate or unsafe, characters are not doctors, therapists, lawyers, financial advisors, or emergency responders, and the app should not be relied on for diagnosis, treatment, legal strategy, financial decisions, emergencies, or as your only source of emotional support.
